Aiden's Sleeping Bag

So, when we were last down in Utah County visiting family, Aiden told Ry that he wanted to sleep in a sleeping bag. So Ry took him downstairs and got out the sleeping pad, when we turned back around, this is what we saw! He is so funny! He climbed inside of the sleeping pad and wanted to sleep in there!
We finally convinced him to come out at least half way so he didn't die! :)
He just cracks me up! The creativity of kids huh?

Umm...haircut?

So we finally decided that Aiden needed a hair cut...it was SO cute, but when I brushed his hair this morning before he went to daycare...well it could pretty much be put into a ponytail! So we got started, and Aiden kept touching his face and opening his mouth and shrugging his shoulders...well, I remembered almost immediately why his hair is always so long. Bravo hairdressers who cut kids hair!
Here's the pile of hair after we cut it. Yes, I have ugly kitchen flooring, and Aiden's hair is hard to see because of it, but it was a HUGE pile! In the bathroom I hear Aiden just cracking up...
Yeah he thought his new hair was funny! Could he smile for the camera? Of course not!
He loved it though!
He's so funny! We just love this little guy!
I am planning on getting a pregnant picture up here soon. I've been pretty sick and all that super awesome pregnancy stuff, but I guess I better get one up here soon since I only have about 8 weeks left! Also, I've done some awesome craft stuff, so I'll try to get those up here soon too! I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines Day (I'll post about that soon too)!

"Look Dad! It's you in the magazine!"

So I'm sure you all remember Super Mario ... I took him to my family Christmas party haha anyway, at my doctor appointment the week after my family's Christmas party Aiden was looking through "Sports Illustrated" and found this picture....
He immediately got EXTREMELY excited and yelled, "LOOK DADDY! It's you in the magazine!!"

I'm not sure if Ryan owns a red turban, and I'm fairly certain he doesn't smoke big old cigars or have front pleated slacks, but hey! Otherwise it's an exact lookalike...and Aiden thinks his daddy's a star!

He always knows how to make me laugh!

So to start this post I'm going to vent - feel free to skip ahead if you want :) The picture above depicts EXACTLY how I have felt for almost 24 hours now! I suffer from somewhat regular migraines, but luckily I haven't had anything stronger then a bad headache for almost 6 months now. I knew it was too good to be true! :) The only thing worse then getting a migraine, is getting a migraine while being pregnant! Tylenol really doesn't do anything...Luckily I have such a sweet son who somehow makes me smile when I really don't think I can!
I loved these fuzzy picture things when I was a kid. I got a bunch of them for Aiden.
He's so focused!
And super excited! He is one of the most artistic little guys I've ever met! My Great Grandfather was a phenomenal artist, so maybe Aiden is taking after him!
The only funny thing is he isn't excited about the fuzzy picture...
No, that and the markers ended up on my living room floor after Ry opened them
Aiden is excited about the cardboard backing and a black permanent marker from my pen cup!
Not too bad drawing there huh?
He always makes me happy!
I hope y'all are having a great day!

Family Fun Day!

Let me start by saying I'm sorry about these pictures! They are AWFUL! I cannot find my battery charger for my camera anywhere (DANG IT!) So I took these with my phone, and pictures off there never turn out that great. Anyway, we had such a fun day today! It started with a doctor appointment where I got my blood drawn (I hate that) for a glucose reading, blood pressure, weight, etc. and got to hear Asher's heartbeat! He's strong and healthy! I only have 14 weeks left (I'm hoping for 12 weeks)! I can't believe it! Since I couldn't eat anything prior to getting my blood drawn, we went to Village Inn for breakfast. It was SO good! Then we went grocery shopping (not that fun, but still good). I have 8 new recipes to try this week from Sandra's Money Saving Meals off of the Food Network. I hope they turn out good! When we finally got all that out of the way, we decided to go Bowling! That's where these pictures come in! I won the first game (yeah, I beat Ryan!) and Ry won the second.
Aiden had a great time...well for the most part. He had a much better time after we decided not to use the ramp thing.
Look at that angry face!
Watching and waiting...then...
MELT DOWN!! He did this through the entire first game! It was ridiculous!
It's okay though, once I put my phone away and the people playing next to us took the ramp, he started having a great time! He got a couple of Spares and a Strike. He was dancing and jumping and cheering! I wish I had gotten pictures! It was so cute!

When we finished bowling, we went to Spoon Me! for frozen yogurt! They have a Family Night on Monday, where you get a 'baby baby' size (kids size) for free with a purchase of a regular priced yogurt. I really like their stuff! We got to go to Spoon Me! because Mr. Aiden has been doing so good going potty! He even wore 'big boy underwear' last night to bed (we ran out of pull ups) and he woke up DRY! Ry and I were so ecstatic we had to celebrate! The funny things you celebrate when you're a parent! :)

I hope you all had a great weekend and have a wonderful week ahead!

This is What Happens when you're pregnant with a crazy 4 year old

Umm...so apparently I blacked out (not really - I walked into the kitchen to get a drink, got distracted - you know how it goes!) for 30 seconds and when I came to ... this is what my living room looked like! His toy box was emptied all over the floor, every game he owns was out, even the Thigh Master - yes the one from the Suzanne Sommers infomercials from the '80's ... Don't judge - I bet a lot of you have one of those in your closet with your bun and thigh roller! :)
I told Aiden he had to clean up - if looks could kill I would've been destroyed! Apparently he informed me that "cleaning makes me sick." ... yeah kid, me too :)

Pretty much my living room stayed like this until Ry got home from school. See, I'm not nice enough to 'help' clean ... Ry on the other hand is :)
I hope you are all having a great New Year so far! Coming soon - my resolutions - which so far have not been started :)

Christmas 2010

Christmas this year was so fun! We got to spend Christmas Eve with all of Ryan's family. We read the Nativity before opening presents. It was really fun to see the kids get excited and to give gifts. This year we did a 'homemade Christmas' for the family. I, of course, forgot to take pictures of the gifts. I made these frames that were strung with twine and mopodged clothes pins to hang pictures with little sweater flowers in the corner and a pair of earrings. They turned out much better then I had expected! Those were for all the female in-laws. The grandparents also got a modpodged double frame with a picture of Aiden and an ultrasound picture of Asher. They turned out better then I expected also! For all the guys, they got some A&W root beer and candy bars. Not homemade I know, but I really didn't know what I could make for the dads that would be awesome! Aiden made all of his cousins puzzle blocks that came from a book...which he gave a copy of to them. The girl cousins also got sweater flower hair clips. Aiden also made an ornament for the grandparents that was his hand print. We did silver ink on a blue background and he made his fingers into little snowmen. He also wrote his name all by himself! I'll have to steal my moms and take a picture of it, because they turned out super cute! Aiden was so excited to pass out gifts to everyone! It was alot of fun!
I love this picture of Cole and Savannah. Poor kids were extremely bore while waiting for...
These little monkey's to calm down so we could get started! Thanks for the fun evening! We had such a good time being with everyone!
Christmas morning was a blast as well! We spent the morning with Ry's family and opened all the gifts from Santa!

Aiden got to open all his gifts with Cole. It was so fun to see both of them! I'm looking forward to next Christmas to see both of our little monkey's open gifts together!

Aiden wanted a pillow pet so bad! Too bad for him, his mom is not with what's popular with the kids right now, so he got stuck with a bee, instead of the dog. I don't think Aiden really cared though! He opened it and said "it's just what I've always wanted!" So, that made me happy! Aiden basically said "it's what I've always wanted" to all of the gifts he opened from "Santa" so I guess I did alright!
The "BIG" gift!
A Cris-Cross Crash Track! He's been talking about this things for almost a month! It was so exciting to see him open it!
Can you tell he likes it? He made Grandpa Doug set it up for him so he could play! After presents, I made a Scandinavian 'brunch' (it was supposed to be breakfast, but I woke up late, and sorta misjudged how long it would take to make everything...oops!). I was so excited to share this with my in-laws! It turned out well, if I do say so myself. Very traditional, so not the typical sweet breakfast most people are used to, but I liked it! :)
After breakfast we went to my parents house where we got spoiled even more! It was so fun! We had to bribe Aiden to open more presents (seriously...I think he was just over stimulated or something. I had to tell him to open his gifts or go to bed...what kid doesn't wanna open more presents?! Apparently mine!) But it paid off! He got this awesome kitchen! He loves to cook with mom and dad, and now he can cook whenever he wants...in his room...so my kitchen isn't always torn apart! It's a gift that keeps on giving! :)
Christmas this year was so much fun! We are so blessed to have such wonderful families to share the holidays with! Asher wasn't left out - my mom got him an adorable outfit that he should fit into by next Christmas! Yay!!
Thanks everyone for making it such a great time! I hope everyone else had a great Christmas also!

Temple Square

After dinner we went to Temple Square to see all the lights! Again, I didn't take very many pictures, because I've been horrible at that lately! It was fun to go see all the lights and watch Aiden look at everything! Of course, he thought the fountains were much more fun then the lights were!
Me and my cute sister! My jacket is FABULOUS! you can't see it, but I've been wanting this jacket from Victoria's Secret for years! It has buttons all down the back! It's fabulous! :)
Aiden finally found some lights he liked...mostly he just wanted to see if he could jump high enough to touch them haha
The Salt Lake Temple ... it really is a magnificent building!
I love this. It was one of my favorite places to see last time we came too!
Aiden loved it too...more he just liked to touch the water, which in turn got his coat wet, which in turn made for a grumpy boy haha It was so fun to spend time with my family!! We look forward to next year!
