Thanksgiving, Hero Expedition and First Snow/Birthday

Thanksgiving

we had a nice quiet Thanksgiving with just us (Ry had to work)
I made a feast that I got from America's Test Kitchen - it was pretty much AMAZING!!!
We did some Black Friday shopping and got lots of really neat stuff - including Christmas Presents which is always a plus!

Hero Expedition

Aiden's class did a Hero Expedition and they each had a to pick a Hero from different continents.  Aiden picked Ernest Shackleton who was the Hero of Antarctica.  He was a scientist who saved all of his co-workers when they were stranded.  Pretty impressive!  Now he tells me he will be a scientist in Antarctica!  That cute quilt that the kids made was hung up in the Library!

First Snow at a Birthday Party

Aiden has been invited to A LOT of Birthday Parties which is awesome!  He loves going and we love seeing all the kids play together so well!
This Birthday Party had snow - LOTS of it!  It was completely dry right before.

Our backyard with this first falling of snow.  It got SO COLD here!  -20 and below most mornings for weeks straight!  It's pretty sad when 30 degrees feels warm enough to not wear a coat!!!  At least it was sunny most of the winter - otherwise I don't think we would've survived! :)
