Do you see anything strange about this picture?
How about this picture? Still No? Okay - I'll label the next one for you ...
That's right ladies and gents - there is a BLACK BEAR in those trees right next to my house - and quite close to my bear proof dumpster!
The Game Wardens were kind enough to get him out of the trees and allow us to watch the process! They also let us pet it! He was a sweet little thing - being sedated and all :)
He is awake and aware, but cannot move. It'll wear off and they'll release him further up the canyon from us to live a long healthy life away from my little guys!
Aiden was pretty much in heaven!
He isn't a baby and obviously he isn't full grown - I thought he was the perfect size! I wanted to get a picture of his claws - but Ash was all over the poor guy - so I had to focus on him. His paws were massive for being so small and he had some big old claws on him too!
Thank you New Mexico Game Wardens for keeping my guys safe and letting us have an adventure!!

That's pretty cool! Not every day you get that experience.
Wow, that is sooo cool! At first when I saw the pictures I thought, "probably not the brightest thing to be playing with a bear..." But then I realized it was tranquilized. That's pretty neat that you got to see a bear so up close and personal!
I loved getting your pictures the other day! That is SO crazy. Kind of cool, but scary at the same time. I bet your boys were loving it! I know I would. Hope you guys are having a good time down there, we miss you!
That is so cool! I bet the boys loved that and will remember it forever!
